This evening, March 4, 2024, around 6:11pm, we had 3 male adults ride down the B-Line trail on little motorbikes (not sure what they are technically called). There were 3 individuals. They were at the parking garage off 10th Street before going down the sidewalk to the B-Line, crossing Rogers St. at the trail Cross, and continuing down the B-Line trail towards Fairview St. I was able to take a quick 5second video of them and I screen grabbed a photo of each rider off of that. I however was only able to upload one photo to the form here. I'm not sure if they are allowed on the trail but I was thinking they weren't. If they are allowed it seems very dangerous to other trail users. If not allowed on the trail I am wondering if maybe the city could post a reminder on social media and possibly add signs at different points along the trail to remind users as to what is and isn't allowed on the trail. If you all want the video clip or the other screen grabbed images I am more than happy to get them to you all. Thanks for keeping our trail safe. It's one of my favorite things about Bloomington!

Hi, It seems there maybe miscommunication within the chain of command or not a 100% buy-in to "best practice" or a little of both. Report #181846 described a problem and its location. Unfortunately the problem has not been addressed in any way. However, it does look as though some one came through with a leaf blower and cleared the cypress leaves that had covered the trail further up towards Southeast park, next to tennis court entrance and wood post. I do very much appreciate that as the the pavement is very bumpy there in the corner and can cause loss of control of bike or scooter as well as trip walkers. I don't have construction experience but have used a shovel in the yard and that is probably all it would take. Just a shovel and one person to remove some soil blocking the current grade from working properly. If that isn't the solution how about adding a thin layer of pavement so runoff goes the other direction. I believe this was done on Renwick trail, there are patches of pavement here and there. Thanks for your help with this.

Lamp post 134 on B-Line Trail appears to be out. This is a high-priority public safety issue as there have been assaults on this part of the trail recently.

Hello, I work for a local property manager, Mackie Properties. Our company manages a homeowners association called Madison Park located north of W Howe St, in between S Madison St and S Morton St. I was recently informed that the plants along a section of the B-line just east of Madison Park are becoming overgrown and would benefit from being trimmed. I've included photos of the relevant area, as well as a map of the area outlining the overgrown section with a red rectangle. Would it be possible for the City to trim up this area before the overgrowth gets too big? Thank you very much for your time, and please contact our office with any questions or updates.

Please post signage that motor vehicles are not allowed on the B Line. Multiple times I have been walking on the B Line with my dog and motorized bikes have come flying within inches of my dog and almost ran him over and hit him. There is no reason bikes that are motorized and go 30+ mph should be on a trail where people, children, and animals are walking. Please please do something about this, my dog almost got hit today by Hopscotch coffee shop.

One of the fence posts along the Polly Grimshaw Trail has become loose at the bottom. The post is noticeably wobbly as is the fencing in that area. My guess is that the post rotted out approximately where it goes underground and needs replaced. Please address this issue now so that the fence doesn't fall down in this area.

My husband and I were at the trail head parking lot and saw a woman go into the woods along the creek and then came out of the woods carrying a trap. Is this allowed? If so you should post signs warning people. A child or dog could easily slip into the woods and get injured.

Hello! I am a representative of the Bloomington Highlands HOA, and it has been a concern of many neighbors in our neighborhood that people are parking along our streets to access the Clear Creek trail. It is especially problematic at the entrance to our neighborhood along W. Hennessey St. and up S. McDougal St. Could Parks and Rec post signage along the trail and within our neighborhood explaining that parking is permitted at the trail entrance and not within our neighborhood? Hello, Monroe Parks & Rec, This is just an FYI and hopefully an appeal for help. I contacted the sheriff’s office on Sunday, March 29, 2020 and since then the camping site looks to have expanded and the trash in the creek and along the road has increased. If you begin at the parking lot on Country Club and walk south on the gravel road that runs parallel to the trail, it takes about a 4-5 minute walk south to arrive at the spot. It is past the brush and next to the creek. There is a small orange tent and a large blue/green structure (I didn’t get too close), there is also something large in the creek that looks like bedding.
