The resident at the corner of Morningside Drive and Park Lane is running a scooter business in his front yard and on the street. He also has a great deal of trash in his driveway, on the lawn, and along both sides of the house.
The scooter business involves going around town, picking up scooters, and recharging their batteries. He has two trailers and at least one is always parked on the street. The trailer and the towing pickup typically jut out into the traffic lanes and create a hazard on an alreaddy overcrowded street.
I request that the city take action regarding these complaints. Park Lane is a relatively heavy travelled road because it has no speed bumps. Adding these trailers into the mix is going to cause accidents....

Sidewalk in front of house has degraded to a point that it is dangerous if someone used a scooter in the dark along this stretch, or even walking. Next time the owner applies to renew the rental permit, please stipulate that the current sidewalk be taken up and a fresh one poured to match the rest of that block and remove the current hazard.

Ridgefield IV neighborhood Bob Shaw is the developer. Bob tore out sidewalks august 2022 without city’s permission. Almost 2 yrs later and still no sidewalks. 3 residents with disabilities(one uses a scooter) along with multiple children in neighborhood. We need accessible sidewalks and for the city to go after Bob Shaw!

On High Street this morning, near the intersection with Atwater.
A handicapped person in a motorized scooter could not pass by. Shame on the person who placed the scooters like this.

Scooters are the latest scourge on Bloomington and it seems that our city officials refuse to directly address the issue. The unenforceable regulations that tie them to bicycles is ridiculous. I walk downtown routinely and each time I have gone downtown I have experiences a scooter whizzing by me on the sidewalk in the "dismount" zone. Motorized vehicles should not be on sidewalks, period. They also continue to litter the downtown and neighborhoods. They lay everywhere and create an unsightly mess all over town. Bloomington is quickly becoming a less desirable city in which to live because of our mayor's and city council's inability to deal with this latest invasion.

There is a Lime scooter parked right in the middle of the narrow sidewalk on west 3rd St. near the alley between Maple and Euclid. It's near my house and I would like it removed.

On Monday April 22 I reported a Lime scooter completely blocking the sidewalk. It has now been turned over off the sidewalk onto someone's property. Will someone please remove this eyesore.

Bird scooter blocking sidewalk.
These 2 have been there for 2 days now. We have a nearly blind lady in our neighborhood. Can you imagine what happens if she walks her dog and does not realize that these 2 monsters are in her path!

There were not only these scooters, but 2 more in the middle of the Morton-Grimes lot next to these, plus 2 more to the side. There was a scooter in the middle of the B Line Monday morning. More scooters at the B Line and Allen intersection. I almost always see turned over scooters on the B Line going south from Allen, Bird and Lime. My suggestion is to have huge dumpsters so the riders can simply dump them, as I know often the companies do, a scooter landfill! What a shame!
