Sewer Problems (Sanitary Sewers)

We live at 1717 E Hunter Ave and have had water coming in our basement now twice (once last and once this) and both times the water is overflowing out this mainhole down on the corner of E. Hunter Ave and Eastside Drive. The manhole is actually spinning around it's so much water. The address where that is at is 420 S Eastside Drive I think. Not sure if its' related or just a coincidence with all the rain. The bsement floor drains have not backed up in our house, just water coming up through cracks and around edge of foundation.

This water fountain next to Kroger on the bike bath is too close to this tree to be accessible, especially for a wheelchair to get to the water bottle fill side of the fountain. I can see this only being a larger access issue as the tree grows. The water bottle side would allow a user with one available hand to use the fountain, whereas the drinking sides need one hand to hold the bottle and one to push the button.

Drainage or Runoff
728 W Allen ST
- Case Date:
- 3/25/2026
Recurring flooding is affecting yards and driveways in our neighborhood, with water reaching depths up to a few feet during heavy rain events. This occurs several times per year and has resulted in property damage, including several vehicles in the neighborhood.
Two culverts carry water beneath the roadway at this location. Based on observed conditions, the culverts appear to be insufficient to handle stormwater during frequent events, creating a backwater effect that causes water to pond in residential areas upstream.
Previous inquiries have indicated this may be attributed to the area’s flood zone designation. However, the frequency and severity of flooding suggest this exceeds typical floodplain conditions and may indicate inadequate drainage capacity.
Requesting a formal evaluation of the culvert system and overall drainage, including assessment of capacity and consideration of potential improvements.

Hello,
I am contacting you guys because I would like to request a health inspection at my apartment complex The Quarters Bloomington located at 1521 Isaac Dr, Bloomington, IN 47403. They have had mold grow all on the sides of 2 parking garages and it has been like that for over 2 months. The mold seems to be spreading more. They have severe water damage that doesn’t seem to be taken care of. I had a mold issue in my apartment that they didn’t prioritize which left me to clean it myself. Other residents have also had mold on their balcony door and bathroom ceiling which was like that when they moved in. The vents seem to be leaking water and it doesn’t seem like it’s an issue they are eager to fix. I am hoping that you guys are able to do a health inspection because I find myself constantly having sinus issues since moving there. Thank you!
