To whom it may concern: My name is Lauren Goldman, and I am the treasurer of the IU Waterski and Wakeboard Team. Our club team was founded over 40 years ago, and is comprised of a group of enthusiastic undergraduate students competing in collegiate water ski and wakeboard tournaments. From rookies to national title holders, our members are all highly passionate and motivated individuals that live for practice on Lake Lemon. When our members are not in class or on the lake, they are serving the Bloomington area through volunteering and alumni events on and off campus. Our team is a growing presence on Indiana University’s campus, on Lake Lemon, and across the city of Bloomington. We have many aspirations for our upcoming school year, including expanding our membership, doing more for our community, and competing as a team in national tournaments. In order to reach our goals, we need more opportunities to fundraise money in the Bloomington area. A few of our ideas were to set up a grilled cheese stand on a weekend night at a busy street corner, host a car wash in downtown Bloomington, sell our personalized merchandise, and more. On behalf of the club, I wanted to request information regarding how we could turn these aspirations into a reality. I wanted to ask what Bloomington businesses or locations would grant us permission to host a car wash, or do we need to follow a process of steps to be able to vendor on a street corner? Our goal is to have a positive, lasting impact on our community while also reaching our own individual potentials. I hope to get in contact with someone willing to assist our team coming this fall. Any insight, information, or advice would be highly appreciated. My phone number is (260) 267-3526 and I am always available to be reached about any questions or concerns. Thank you in advance for your time.

905 W 6th St Bloomington, IN 47404 Hello, with the rain this past weekend, I was surprised that both of my containers, waste and recycling, had several inches of water in them. Apparently the lids do not close securely allowing rain to enter which deteriorates paper goods and trash if not in plastic.

Subject: Re: uReport Case #162510 - 3433_E._Third_St._property_needs_owner_attention Mike Arnold -- An update from a coupe weeks past on this address, I have been been busy or else would have sent a message sooner. 2/10/18: I reported to Bloomington Police the north, back of house, doors open. Lower door wide open, upper door open but storm door closed. Officers (six) arrived and cleared the house, Windows are still unlocked and storm windows may be opened as they are not closed in place on nearly all windows. Please make contact with the owner and request that they close all windows and check the two doors so they may be closed and locked. I have mentioned to you in the past, on the lower door, stone wall has fallen and mud prevents storm door to close. This needs attention. Please be more aggressive in your home owner contact. Monitoring this house and follow up on securing the house is now using Police time and resources. Plus my time and others neighbors concern that the house is being entered by homeless and others trespassers. It appears a mess inside and needs attention. If you cannot get results on this homeowner's negligence, see history back to 2004 where the city has sited issues, I will follow up with the Mayor and City legal. This needs to be solved to hold the homeowner accountable for action before something bad happens; house fire, frozen water pipes, trespassers cause issues. If you can, please tell me who the homeowner is and their contact information. I am willing to contact them to discuss issues (as the Neighborhood Association representative) - plus Bloomington Police wish to make contact. By the way - the house has not been occupied since December 2016. See attached photos Thanks - Steve Akers 3449 E. I live on the east side of town and frequently drive through the Hillside Drive roundabout. There is an irrigation system around the roundabout which seems like a terrible waste of money and water by the city. This is particularly true when the sprinklers are working despite the ample rain of the last few months. Also, if you drive through the roundabout around 8pm you will notice that the sprinklers in the north east corner of the roundabout spray out over the traffic lane which is an additional waste of water all to keep a little bit of grass green. I think the city should have landscaped this and all other roundabouts using native and drought tolerant plants and little if any grass so that money and water are not wasted keeping the area green.
