I reported this issue back in April. No one has touched it. There is a massive track about a foot deep right off the edge of the road. It is constantly full of mud and water that worsens every time it rains. Please take care of this before winter!!
Recently, I reported some damage to the E. Regents Circle street, which the City immediately fixed. The repair work was OUTSTANDING, by the way! The promptness and quality of the repair work was spot-on ... many thanks to the City! However, after a few months we've noticed that the asphalt used for the repair appears to now be "separating" from the original pavement of the East edge of street (see attached photo). Our concern is that as winter approaches, there will be opportunities for water/snow/ice to accumulate, freeze, and actually cause *more* damage to the original repair work. Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. There is a large pothole that formed around a storm water drain on S Walnut Street in front of Kroger Gas Station. I hit the hole last night. Not sure how much damage my car sustained. Will be taking it to a mechanic.
I believe there may be an underground water main leak at the T intersection of N. Plymouth Road and E. Sheffield Dr. in Park Ridge East. (I live on Plymouth) There has been some muddy water coming up through the pavement for a couple days. Nothing gushing up, but enough to create a small bit of water to stand there and to run in the gutter. There was a water main break there a few years ago and a repair. As I said, water is not shooting or gushing up, yet, but it is something that probably should be checked soon.
After all the utilities repair that's been going on in our neighborhood, our streets were completely ripped up. The city has since started patching the roads, but they've done a pretty slapdash job of it. The new paving is very uneven and there are gaps and places where it's easy to lose your footing. I've already tripped at least once in the last few days when I've been out walking my dog. I'm a young, able-bodied person so I'm sure you can see how it could pose a risk to the other residents in the neighborhood who might be older or less steady on their feet. I hope this patching effort is a temporary fix and not the final product, because that would be unacceptable. I would love to hear back about this issue and whether or not this is a temporary fix. I hope the roads in our neighborhood can be completely repaved when this water utilities project is fully completed.
The South Arbutus Drive cul-de-sac needs repaving. The pavement is eroding away in several places, the north side of the green space in the middle of the cul-de-sac has become a pothole, and previous repairs/upgrades to water and gas lines have left the street in bad shape.
The alley next to my house has a deep ditch from water runoff. Hoping you can come and level it off, so my car doesn't get damaged. It's at the entrance to the alley, 516 S. Highland Ave. Thank you!
It is stated that this is done but the picture clearly shows where there are still large pot holes that look like a small pond in between our parking lot and the apartment building across. There is obviously water in the large holes so if this needs to be done when it is dry outside I would think that would be the best time to fill it so it is even. The job work done in less than an hour time does not look like an efficient job.
