Due to the rain yesterday, my basement has flooded and many others in Winslow Farms have as well. There is not enough drainage in place to handle the water that comes to my immediate area with a heavy rain. I have a storm drain in the backyard between my home and the neighbors. This drain is not sufficient to deal with the water for this whole area. Many times during the year in heavy rains, this drain gets overwhelmed and we get a large pool in backyard. Unfortunately, this time, the water rose to a point where it entered into my basement and I am now dealing with many thousands in damage. It seems that someone from the city needs to come analyze the drainage situation in this area of Winslow farms and some additional drainage systems or drains need to be added. Storm sewers are blocked by debris on the streets causing water backup on the road. The street needs to be cleaned and debris removed from storm grates.

There is water constantly flowing out of the ground on the alley east of 213 E. Cottage Grove about 40 feet north of the street. The water is bubbling up and flowing south to the street then flowing east to Lincoln. When it was cold recently a glacier formed there that was dangerous to walk or drive on. It i now getting swampy there - still dangerous but in a different way. Both City Utilities and property owner were notified, but it is not clear if anyone has determined where the water is coming from. Good to check the meters in the area, e.g., 701 N. Lincoln, 700 N. Washington, 706 N. Washington for any unexpectedly high usage.

This is the second time I have reported this issue. In the fall there was a water main break on our street and the water company did not properly repair the dig site. We now have a mud pit/hole at the site of the repair and we recently had a visitor trip and almost fall at the site. I would appreciate this being fixed right away. Thank you, John Tweedie

Due to a crack in the curb and an uneven grade, all of the water in our cul de sac floods the water meter cover and my driveway and backyard when it rains.

At bottom of driveway is larger patch of frozen water. We have had numerous water lines breaking and wonder if this is another? Ice patch is in curb and in street.

I don't have a current photo but particularly since the utility work completed on this stretch of road the parking spots in front of the shops flood and hold water. The gradient actually seems to slope away from the drain instead of towards. As a result, we frequently have to bail out the parking spots to make them usable for customers. Flooding issues include the accessible parking spot, which poses a risk to the mobility impaired. How can we best collaborate on a solution? Thanks!

This area needs a street drain. Every time it rains water pools at this corner making it difficult for people walking down the sidewalk to cross the street. During the winter, this turns into a block of ice making it very dangerous for people crossing the street. Children in this neighborhood walk to Child's Elementary School and have to jump over the puddle of water when it's warm and try not to fall on the block of ice that form here during the winter. Please install a street drain in this location. Thank you.

We had a storm water drain added a few years back (THANKS- we really appreciate the added drain) - The issue is that the drain causes accumulation of standing water at the base of the drain. We have had an abundance of mosquitos the last few years - & last year Trudy contacted meningitis - so we want to be careful and mitigate any risk! Is there a way the drain basin could be have aggregate (stone or grave) to the standing water? We appreciate your help - Kevin & Trudy Keough -

We continue to have storm water pooling in the drain in front of our house. We appreciate having the drain; would hope there would be a simple solution to mitigate the risk of pooling of storm water - in particular the risk of mosquitoes and the public health risk the bring - thanks - Kevin and Trudy Keough
