We were overcharged for water this month. The SA Customer Portal Dashboard says we consumed 1,774 gallons of water from August 2-September 1, and the bill claims we consumed 3,000 gallons.
Despite never receiving any specific notice about the termination of the aqua pay system for my utility account, I was removed from the aqua pay program and thus 2 subsequent bills went unpaid, and our water was shut off for delinquency. I then had to pay $45 each for a water shutoff and turn on fee. I do not believe that it is my responsibility to foot this fee when I was under the impression that my autopay would be the method with which my bill would be paid off. In addition, the water was shut off at my house after 4:15 PM, meaning there was no way for me to contact the utilities office and request my water to be turned back on same day if I were to have paid off the balance immediately.
Water was turned off today (2/14) with an amount shown for $406.39. Bill was paid in the amount of $317.00 (2/7)
2 pipes busted in my apartments due to the copper pipes and the cold which resulted to 50 gallons being added to my water bill. First I was wanting to see if we could get some of the taken off cause it wasn’t our fault and set up a payment plan if I do have to pay the increased amount.
The last few months I have been notified that my water meter was running very high, possible leaks. I am usually 1,000 gallon water user but last month bill was over $140, and today (Nov. 10/2022) my bill is$364.97. My HOA and myself have spent around $8,000 and find no water leaks. Eventually, I got a new water line, with a lot of pain. I need compensation for those huge water bill, the water that I did not use. I called few times and suggested that the meter was malfunctioning, maybe? Any way, I am a senior and retired and won't be able to pay those bill in full. Please help. Thank you so m
Please look at water bills for Dec, Jan, Feb. There was a broken water meter that resulted in an extreme excess of charge to my account. The water meter has since been fixed. However, since this was out of my control and I had no bearing in the broken water meter, nor its repair, I am hoping there can be some concession on my utility account. Our water bill has been extremely high ever since we have moved in due to water leak and running water. About a week ago the city of Bloomington came out and fixed our system outside of our home. When I called the receptionist said our December bill looked normal but our previous bills are not normal. We should have a 0 balance and some type of credit on our account after paying hundreds of dollars for the past few months. Now we are receiving a disconnect notice after just paying 200$.
