While I fully support residents’ ability to compost and maintain sustainable practices on their own property, the current placement of this compost pile is creating issues for others nearby. It has become a noticeable eyesore and is producing odors that are impacting the surrounding area. Please see several reports about this from many neighbors. This is an ongoing issue. Because this structure is located in the right-of-way, it affects not only the adjacent property but also the broader neighborhood. Composting should be maintained in a manner that does not negatively impact others, including being placed out of public view and at an appropriate distance from neighboring homes. I respectfully ask that this situation be reviewed and that the resident be required to relocate the compost pile to a more appropriate location on their property, where it is not visible from the street and does not create a nuisance for others.

Currently, the city only has one method for filing noise complaints, which is to call the number listed on the city's website. Having only one reporting method is extremely ineffective, and limiting the reporting method to only verbal communication creates a barrier for accessibility. There are individuals who cannot communicate over the phone - like me. Illness stole my voice years ago, but my hearing was not impacted - I still hear the noise. I just can't report it. Not sure what an adequate fix would be, as it would have to be something that is regularly monitored. (Address provided is rough estimate of area where heavy bass plays frequently, it could be one of these houses or an apartment building - I needed to put a location on the map, so I included that one.)

-This house/property has been unoccupied for the ENTIRE ~20 years that I have lived on the adjacent property at 2618 S Milton Dr. -The house is deteriorating. No maintenance has been done to the house for ~10 years. -The garage, as you can see from the pic, is dilapidated and likely on the verge of collapsing. -The back yard has been growing wild/is with no maintenance for ~10 years, with a large portion being a thicket of Locust and other small trees. -There are very large Silver Maple trees that are a significant hazard to neighboring properties. -The garage, area under the decaying deck, etc. are almost certainly providing shelter for rats, racoons, skunks, groundhogs, etc. The blight seen here is unacceptable in Broadview which has become more a very nice, presentable neighborhood in the 20 years I have lived here.

There is a row of storage units immediately to the south of my apartment at Brandon Ct. There is a space between the units and a fence that is supposed to be maintained by Henderson Court. As you can see by the photo (I can provide more), it appears that unhoused people use it as a place to sleep. The area is strewn with trash, and mattress/foundation, and I would suspect that drug activity is or has occurred in the space. Furthermore, several packages have been stolen off of my stoop by occupants of this space. Clearly, this poses a health and safety hazard. I ask that the City investigate the area and assess fines and other sanctions against Granite, the listed property owners or managers. In addition to clean up and possible environmental remediation, I want the area secured in such a fashion that in the future no unhoused people can reoccupy the space. The Department may also need to contact Henderson Court for erection of a fence that denies access for the length of the fence that serves as the property line between Henderson Court and Brandon Court. Vehicles driving east on Grimes often stop in the middle of the road (rather than in their "lane") at the stop sign at Woodlawn. This makes it impossible to turn onto Grimes from Woodlawn until they have moved on, leading to difficult and unpredictable traffic situations. Would it be possible to put a center line here on Grimes, just for the intersection and the approach to it? To encourage drivers on Grimes to be in their lane when they stop at the intersection.

Need street-surface traffic direction arrows painted in the 2 lanes of S. Clarizz heading north. I have seen people make the right-hand lane into a left-hand turn onto East 3rd St. Please see pic of suggested arrows. The yellow marks are the direction available besides a right turn. Tx!
