Our family frequently walks from Park Ridge Park to Park Ridge East Park, crossing at Morningside and Smith. It NEVER feels safe to do so there. Cars on N Smith zoom through at times without slowing and rush you even if they do temporarily pause. We had another close call today. Please enhance this intersection for both pedestrian and bicycle (our family does both here) safety. For an intended crossing, the Smith cars assume they have a bigger more important road and don't pay attention to the signs. Maybe a flasher, more prominent crosswalk sign planted or painted, just something please. It's like this every time and has been for years.

Please be aware that there is no bike/side path on College Mall from Moores Pike to 1116 S College Mall rd. as shown on the bike map produced(?)/provided by the city. Some of this could have been addressed with the new intersection layout at Moores Pike & Sare Rd/College Mall Rd. Yes, there still would have been a gap but minor compared to now and perhaps save future reconstruction of part of intersection.

The path along Rogers Rd just east of the roundabout is restricted by a lot of leaf debris that is slick when wet and narrows the usable portion of the path.

In front of Hopscotch along the B-Line Trail at Morton and Dodds. The 4th and 5th bike rack posts down from the north side of the rack are very loose. The 4th one seems like it could be lifted out of the ground. It would be nice and more secure if these could be fixed. The entire rack should be assessed too.

The bike lane near 250 S Washington St is constantly blocked with cars temporarily parked there. This is an established bike route home from campus/downtown to the Bryan Park neighborhood and I now constantly feel unsafe having to pull out into busy traffic to accommodate drivers of vehicles who are too lazy to find an actual parking place. This has been a chronic issue for months and I would appreciate if this stretch could be monitored/tickets given out, or some other solution so that I can once again feel safe as a bicycle commuter on that route.

At the following addresses, the clearance space above the sidewalk surface and the bottom of the tree canopy is quite a bit lower than the eight feet stipulated in Section 12.24.040(2) of Bloomington’s Municipal Code. The low bottom of the tree canopy at these addresses blocks the sidewalk and represents a safety hazard for pedestrians and runners. Could you please look into this issue? HI, is there a bike safety class offered by the city? I work with newly arrived refugees who rely on their bikes for transportation and would like to enroll them in a general bike safety class. I appreciate any resources or options you may provide. Many thanks!
