I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. Please send street cleaner to Waterman addition. Adams, Fountain, and 8th Streets have refuse, dirt, and weeds, that need a scrubbing by curbs and drains. Accident debris by RR track needs professional help.

Leaves and trash clutter North Adams Street near the Indiana Railroad Tressel. The leaves on West 8th Street are a safety hazard.

A street light in that location is very much needed. I bike every evening there, and can attest to it being a dangerous intersection at night.

A Red Chevy Cavalier has been blocking W. 8th Street (dead end side going toward Adams) for almost 2 weeks. It appears to be abandoned with the license plate removed. The rear end is heavily damaged and the owner left a note in the back windshield.
