Anthony’s Pets in the college mall is a hub for animal mistreatment and abuse. Animals from puppies to rats are stuck in i humane conditions and pumped full of steroids to act normal until purchased and brought home where diseases and other issues can surface. Dogs have been killed because they don’t want to pay for vet visits. Most of the dogs come from illegal puppy mills that mass produce dogs inhumanely and I don’t want this business in my city. I don’t want Bloomington to be associated with the inhuman treatment of animals, and Anthony’s Pets stands for that.

100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions yet the City has decided local residents and their cars are the primary culprits in its parking garage denial, particularly those residents who may not have the luxuries of time, money, age, health, location, or ability to utilize other transportation modalities. This is what liberal privilege looks like, a total disconnect from the reality of working families.

Hello, I'm not sure if this is the correct area or not. But, we need to something about the police. Every call I have had with their dispatch has been rude and now I read in the IDS that they laughed at the person that called in the flyers. I get it, I'm sure they get stupid calls. But they are often callous, rude, and blatantly mock and discredit you when you call to report suspicious activity or other issues. They say report suspicious activity and promote their community policing yet this seems inconsistent with their actions. It's frustrating.

I hope your major is removed from office. He is a lowlife degenerate to support Antifa coming out to attack the wonderful, wholesome family of Sarah Dye. The good, traditional people are walking up and we will not let you Marxists intimidate us.

I thought the Bloomington police handled themselves well Saturday at the market. They were put in a bad position needing to enforce the parks department decision to trespass a protester. The officers were calm, courteous, and professional throughout despite being yelled at and called names. Thanks for keeping us safe and civil as best you can given the circumstances. I'm sorry people are taking out frustrations on you.

Re case: 170740. Good to see the city passing the buck on all scooter related issues. Would be nice to see some actual enforcement. Scooters are constantly being left blocking downtown sidewalks, and the no scooters on downtown sidewalks rule seems to be completely ignored.

The City of Bloomington government has done a horrific job with the B-Line Trail detour due to the trail closure in Switchyard Park. But, the City of Bloomington government has a history of doing a horrific job with all things traffic, roads, and detour related, so I guess in the end: who is surprised? The detour was announced on October 23rd via the Office of the Mayor's Facebook page stating it would last for about 2 weeks. Local news sources reported on that fact as well. Now, 22 days later the trail is still closed. I had to call Parks & Rec to ask, because no updates are available online. I called because I need to get into town but the detour path is not safe. Last time I rode the detour it had a lot of gravel, sand, overgrowth, and other hazards. I do not understand why the City cannot at the least keep people updated on the closure when it goes beyond the stated 2 weeks from the Mayor's office. And, maybe going a step further, clean up the detour path? I know, I know - maintaining a multi-use path would be a lot to ask in this town.
