Hello - I live up the street from the B-line bridge that crosses over Grimes. What started as one tent has become a full-blown camp, and the conditions have caused me to feel unsafe using that portion of the B-line trail. The last time I used the bridge the urine smell was quite strong and there was a man having a bad trip outside the encampment. We've been awoken by yelling and general disturbance from members of the camp and their dogs, and the general disturbance has caused me and several neighbors with kids to not use that portion of the B-line (not using the Switchyard Park playground and dog park, or driving there instead of walking). It's reached a point that we're uncomfortable - I hope I don't sound unsympathetic to their situation. I don't have a good solution either!
There is a homeless encampment in the woods across the creek immediately behind my home in a residential neighborhood. A matter of feed away from my property. I have sent a letter/email to Mayor and Dep Mayor with no response. As the leaves fall, I will be staring at the encampment and they will be staring right into my home. I have to regularly call the fire dept due to fires at the encampment. I have to listen to them scream, yell and fight. I am also a licensed rehabber and am terribly upset with the way they have ruined the wildlife territory. The woods behind my home is one of the primary reasons that I bought my home almost 10 years ago. I am worried for my children's safety and well being (as well as my own) as the encampment grows. I am devastated that there is now a potential that part of those woods will be removed due to the encampment. There is also a daycare 3 houses from mine as well as several children who I have seen play around the woods and should be able to without fear of an encampment and being hurt. I will happily provide any needed info, picts I have, etc.

I understand that we are following a stay at home order. Yet when I went for a run today I saw guys working on construction at the City's Switchyard park and many other sites across the city, trees are being trimmed on many roads in the city, and near the Kroger on South Walnut the tire store was open, the verizon store was open, of course the Kroger was open, and the daycare center up the street had a bunch of cars and kids playing in their playground. What's going on? It is disconcerting to say the least. thank you.
The concrete apron, on the rails to trails Bridge, located 1.5 miles from Tapp Head, has an abrupt raised edge (peaks at 1.25") If someone could reduce the impact zone, I think that would be less of a liability for all who traverse. I biked downtown this afternoon for a trip to the public library. Upon arrival I discovered that every space in the bike racks surrounding the library were taken by Veo scooters. Attempting to move a scooter to park my bike was extremely difficult, as the scooter wheels immediately locked up, and scooters are simply to heavy to lift and move. Allowing a private scooter company to completely monopolize all available bike parking around the public library is not acceptable. Why is this allowed? Could the rules around scooters in the city be reviewed and this specific issue addressed? To clarify, I don't believe users had parked the scooters here. It seems as if they were deployed and staged in these spots. Thank you.
Sherwood oaks park tennis courts appear to have been vandalized. The court closest to the creek has a bent standard and the net is gone. I am pretty sure the net was there on Friday.
