Could you please look at putting a 4-way stop in at the intersection of Pete Ellis and Longview. Because of the increased traffic due to the closing of the 10th and by-pass intersection, it makes it nearly impossible to get across Pete Ellis whilst traveling on Longview.
N College Ave crosswalk next to CVS is just a standard crosswalk and I go down this street everyday home from work and it's very dangerous. I usually drive in the left lane because right lane has more potholes. I see pedestrians crossing this street and cars do not stop. I will stop in left lane for pedestrian but right lane does not see person crossing and has to slow down quickly. Would be nice if we can get a crosswalk that alerts drivers like the one on South Walnut Street. My fear is that someone will get struck by a car crossing this street. Today someone crossed I stopped for them and right lane car next to me almost hit them driving fast down this lane. I hope this can be taken into serious consideration. Hello! I live just off of the intersection of 5th Street and Bryan Avenue, right next to the IU Raintree House. I've noticed that one of the stop signs at the four way stop is missing, the post and all. I've seen people driving right through without stopping, and then realized that the sign was completely gone. It is the stop sign on the north east side of the intersection. "There is one left turning lane, one lane to go straight, and one lane to turn right. The middle lane to continue straight should also have the option to turn left. Hardly anyone leaving the McDonalds, Cheddars, Pizza Hut, fire department, and the hotels are going straight. The light to leave our area is not long and I truly believe the flow will greatly improve with a dual straight and left hand turning lane."
The stop sign at the corner of S Heritage Rd and E Morningside Dr is very faded.
There needs to be a pedistrian crossing at the corner of Union and 5th. It is often dangerous to cross there.
I work for IU Campus Bus Service. Saturday, we were driving a special service that necessitated that we use the new portion of Woodlawn Avenue. (Once the railroad crossing is complete, buses will go up and down Woodlawn Avenue from the Stadium to Campus and back about 70 times a day during the week.) I noticed that a vehicle was parked on Woodlawn just north of 14th St. on the east side of the street blocking the bike lane, but mostly out of the lane of car traffic. I also noticed there are no "No Parking" signs on this new stretch of Woodlawn. Can those be added to prevent people from parking here? Thank you.
I live between Kenwood Dr. and 16th Street where it intersects with Madison Avenue. Kenwood Dr. and 16th street are both very small, and I have a couple of reasons to think that they should be made one ways. I have had multiple times where I have been trying to turn into Kenwood Dr. from Madison, and had a car blocking my way because they were coming out that way. Similarly, I have not been able to get into my parking lot on 16th street because of someone coming from Madison as I was coming in from Woodburn Avenue. It would really help the flow of traffic if there were one way signs, and clearer street signs in this area, and prevent traffic blocks on these small roads. On Kenwood drive, there is an apartment complex with diagonal parking, facing east. I have noticed that the car on the end has a lot of dings, from people turning into their car. I think this is happening because of the fact that when another car is blocking your way, you have to make a wide turn into Kenwood Dr. and then the person's car is in the crossfire. I hope this is clear enough evidence and that it will be taken into consideration.
Can the City not require the Indiana Railroad to install some type of flashing light, larger warning sign or something to help prevent this from happening? There has been an increasing amount of trucks hitting this bridge, at least 6 in the past year that I'm aware of.
North side of 17th and Dunn has no pavement markings or signage to indicate the presence of a left turn only lane.
