Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Volunteer Network invites the public to Be Involved Bloomington at its annual Community Volunteer Fair during the Farmers' Market on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon in front of City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street.

More than 40 nonprofit organizations will have booths and information available detailing ways citizens of all ages can become engaged in the community. Visitors can sign up to volunteer and speak to organizers about future opportunities, community needs and other related issues. The event is free and open to the public, and all are invited to attend. Space for volunteer organizations is still available, and interested groups can contact City of Bloomington Volunteer Network Coordinator Bet Savich at volunteer@bloomington.in.gov or 812-349-3472.

The Volunteer Fair is sponsored by the City Volunteer Network, whose mission it is to pair dedicated volunteers in the community with organizations needing assistance. Prospective volunteers can view participation opportunities available in Bloomington online at www.bloomington.in.gov/volunteer.
