Bloomington, IN - The City of Bloomington Community and Family Resource Commission will host a public meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 6 p.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street.

The meeting will be preceded by a 5:30 p.m. reception where light snacks and beverages will be served.

Residents are invited to share their experiences in finding and keeping affordable housing in the community. The Commission is hoping to gather feedback from citizens about affordable housing, emergency shelters and temporary housing in Bloomington. Lisa Abbott, Director of the City's Housing and Neighborhood Development Department, and Joel Rekas, Director of the Shalom Community Center, will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.

The Commission hopes this discussion will lead to thoughtful solutions and guidance for public policy recommendations in meeting affordable housing demands. All citizens are encouraged to attend.
