Applications Sought For Bloomington Boards And Commissions

Bloomington, IN -- Regina Moore, Bloomington City Clerk has announced that applications are now being accepted for the following boards and commissions:

Commission on the Status of Women, Commission on Sustainability, Community and Family Resources Commission, the Environmental Commission, the Housing Trust Fund, the Traffic Commission and the Bloomington Urban Enterprise Association.


Priority will be given to applications received by September 13, 2010, but applications are always welcomed.

City Boards and Commissions are citizen staffed and operated, and serve to advise the Common Council and the Administration on issues affecting Bloomington.

Boards and Commissions range from the arts to the environment to human rights. Qualifications require residence within the corporation limits of the city for most positions and specific interest in the work of the Board or Commission.

A complete list and description of Boards and Commissions, in addition to application materials may be found at [www.bloomington.in.gov/clerk|www.bloomington.in.gov/clerk]. Information and applications also are available at the City Clerk's Office in Showers City Hall at 401 N. Morton. Applications remain active and on file for one year from date of application.
