Mayor Hamilton to Review Progress of Safety, Civility and Justice Task Force Recommendations

Bloomington, Ind. - Mayor John Hamilton will host a press conference Thursday, July 6 to review progress on the recommendations made in the Safety, Civility and Justice Task Force report presented last month. Additional actions taken by the City and plans going forward will also be discussed. The report was prepared following extensive interviews, research on best practices, and discussions with local organizations charged with serving the needs of people experiencing homelessness, addiction and mental illness. The event will be held in the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium, 303 East Kirkwood Avenue, at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
