City and county officials to announce coordinated efforts to mitigate anticipated traffic issues

Bloomington, In. - Government officials from the City of Bloomington and Monroe County will host a joint press conference Thursday, April 19 to share updates about collaborative efforts to minimize the impact of the simultaneous construction projects taking place on the south and west sides of town this spring and summer.  The conference will address the scope of the infrastructure improvements taking place this year, the reasons for their concurrence, the collaboration that has been taking place for months among stakeholders to reduce congestion and prevent disruption of essential services, and the tools and strategies available to residents to commute more easily while the improvements are ongoing. The event will be held in Council Chambers at City Hall on Thursday, April 19 at 10:30 am.
