BEAD Offers Professional Development Webinar Courses at City Hall

Bloomington, IN - As part of its strategic vision to offer entrepreneurial and educational opportunities to the [thumbnail:2587,right]creative community, the City of Bloomington's Entertainment and Arts District (BEAD) is offering professional development courses to local artists and art organizations free of charge.

The first of the web-based courses, which are administered by Americans for the Arts, will be held on Wednesday, Mar. 11, at 2 p.m. on the first floor of City Hall, 401 N. Morton Street.

Topics covered will include funding, collaboration, marketing, leadership, planning, programming, development, sustainability, budgeting and new technology. The courses will help artists and organizations develop structured methods to present artistic vision efficiently to the public. Attendees are asked to RSVP for individual seminars at least one week prior to the anticipated date by contacting Erin Coon at coone@bloomington.in.gov.
