City ITS Informatics Fellow Position Filled; More Informatics Fellow Positions In Future

Bloomington, Ind. - The City of Bloomington's Information and Technology Services (ITS) Department announced that it has recently filled its Informatics Fellow position focusing on user experience design.

Informatics Fellows serve as interns within the City's award-winning ITS Department. Rick Dietz, ITS Director, stated, "We are pleased to welcome Sanket Shukl as our Informatics Fellow for User Experience and we look forward to great things from this collaboration."

Sanket's responsibilities will include analysis of user needs and interaction design of the City's website, developing design guidelines for internal and external applications, and many other projects.

Marty Siegel, Director of Graduate Studies in Informatics at IU's School of Informatics and Computing, stated, "The Indiana University Informatics Graduate Program is very pleased to have one of its students in the Human-Computer Interaction Design Master's Program, Sanket Shukl, contribute to the improved design of the city's interactive systems. We're confident that Sanket and future Informatics Fellows will help the City provide better services to all in the Bloomington community. These kinds of collaborations enrich our students' education and provide the city with helpful technical resources."

Bloomington's ITS Department is also seeking to expand its Informatics Fellows initiative with additional fellows focusing on Data Science and Analytics, as well as Geospatial Data Science.
