Bloomington
, IN - Mayor Mark Kruzan and the City of Bloomington Commission on the Status of Black Males invite nominations for the fifth annual Outstanding Black Male Leaders of Tomorrow Award.

The award recognizes local contributions by African American youth and seeks to encourage the development of future leaders.

"When the City of Bloomington established its Commission on the Status of Black Males, it did so in part to examine and propose solutions to some of the challenges faced by African American males," Kruzan said. "The Annual Recognition of Outstanding Black Male Leaders of Tomorrow award offers a unique opportunity for the Commission and the City to recognize young, emerging African American leaders and affirm their contributions to our community."

Nominations can be made online at http://bloomington.in.gov/csbm, and forms also are available from the City's Community and Family Resources Department, City Hall, 401 North Morton, Suite 260. The deadline for nominations is Tuesday, Feb. 9.
