Description

PURPOSE:
The Commission works to educate the public concerning the goals and methods of historic preservation.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
The commission shall consist of nine voting members who must be residents of the city. All members shall be appointed by the mayor subject to the approval of the common council. All members shall be interested in the preservation and development of historic buildings and areas.

DUTIES:
Making effective the provisions of Title 8 Historic Preservation and Protection.

TIME COMMITMENT:
8 hours per month

COMPENSATION:
Each member of the commission does not receive compensation for their service.

Meeting Schedule

The commission meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of each month January through October and on the second Thursdays of November and December.
