Description

PURPOSE:
The Committee is authorized to consider legislation referred to it by the Council and to focus on the city’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase community resilience in the face of climate change

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Registered voters who live in the City of Bloomington can be elected to the council.

DUTIES:
Enacting legislation that fosters economic equity, environmental equity, and social equity in climate action in the City. The Committee works to represent the interests of residents while ensuring the delivery of municipal services.

TIME COMMITMENT:
Two hours a month or more.

COMPENSATION:
Each member does not receive compensation for their service.
