Bug Fest

- Bug Fest is hosting a food drive for the Hoosier Hills Food Bank. Donations of canned fruits and vegetables are appreciated! Remember: Most fruits and vegetables are pollinated by insects!

Learn all about amazing insects at Bloomington's 12th annual Bug Fest! Check out cool insects, make a craft, participate in bug-themed activities, and much more. Exhibitors will share and display their knowledge on a variety of buggy topics.
(NOTE: Sales are NOT permitted at Bug Fest outside of the permitted food trucks.)
Event Schedule
11 a.m.-noon: Wildcare's Education Ambassadors are non-releasable permanent resident animals who have the important job of teaching the public about the importance of conservation and respect for wildlife!
11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.: Music by John Kogge.
11 a.m.-2 p.m.: Face painting.
Noon-1 p.m.: The Bloomington Storytellers' Guild will entertain with exciting, insect-themed stories - plus puppets!
1:30 p.m.-2 p.m.: Build-a-Bug - learn about arthropod anatomy by dressing up like the crawlies themselves! WonderLab will explain the differences between spiders and insects while children explore basic insect, arachnid, and isopod body plans through dynamic role-playing.
