Bloomington Youth Basketball Season 2

The Twin Lakes Recreation Center and COVID-19

The Bloomington Parks and Recreation Department has put safety measures in place to slow the spread of COVID-19. However, we cannot guarantee you or members of your family will not contract an illness. By participating in activities at or entering Twin Lakes Recreation Center, you voluntarily assume the risk of exposure or infection, and resulting illness or death.

Please do your part!

  • If you are sick, or have any symptoms of COVID-19, please stay home.
  • Practice physical distancing by staying at least 6 feet away from others.
  • The use of face masks is required.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often; cough or sneeze into your elbow; avoid touching your face.

The Twin Lakes Recreation Center is open, with the following COVID-19 safety measures in place:

  • Directional arrows have been placed on the floor to direct proper traffic flow to avoid crowding in hallways.
  • Any person entering the facility must either sign in or scan their membership card upon entry.
  • Masks are mandatory while entering and exiting the facility and any time you are not engaging in vigorous activity. This includes common areas such as locker rooms/restrooms, hallways or lobbies. Masks may be removed for vigorous activity including, but not limited to, forms of cardio, basketball, and strenuous lifting. We ask that if your mask is off, you practice social distancing.
  • Moveable weight benches in the weight room may not be moved from their templated position at this time.
  • Members must wipe down equipment before and after use. This includes weight benches, dumbbells, barbells, mats, inflated exercise balls, medicine balls, kettlebells, ez bars, body bars and exercise bands.
  • Sanitizing stations are increased and located in numerous locations throughout the facility (e.g. paper towels, EPA-grade spray bottle solution and hand sanitizer)
  • Upon completion of activity at the TLRC, we ask that participants do not linger. Please exit the facility.
  • Spectator seating is currently unavailable. Spectators are not encouraged at this time.
  • Members are encouraged to leave excess personal items out of the building.
  • No checkout equipment is available at this time.
  • Water fountains are closed at this time. Drinks and snacks may be purchased at the front desk.
  • Facility is completely sanitized after hours.
  • Full sanitation/disinfecting is scheduled several times throughout the day.

The Twin Lakes Recreation Center has five hardwood courts and an indoor turf field. We are home to Bloomington's largest youth basketball league and to Bloomington Soccer indoor soccer leagues and classes. TLRC members have access to unlimited free fitness classes, an expanded weight room with machines and free weights, a cardio studio, and two group exercise studios. The TLRC also offers a 1/5-mile elevated, rubberized track and personal training services.
