About
Gas-powered lawn and garden equipment are important emitters of greenhouse gasses as well as health-impacting air pollutants. They emit 30 million tons of pollutants annually in the US, accounting for a quarter of all non-road gasoline emissions. In this workshop, we will discuss how residents can take steps to reduce their households carbon footprint and help the City achieve its community-wide emission goals. We will explore the benefits and impacts of going green with battery-powered lawn equipment and how residents can make their yards even greener.
