Fitness in the Park includes a variety of energizing group fitness classes, including Tai Chi, ZUMBA, and yoga, all with the backdrop and fresh air of Switchyard Park. Perfect for all fitness levels, these instructor-led sessions are designed to help build strength, flexibility, and wellness in a welcoming environment. The perfect opportunity to stay active, connect with others, and make the most of the open-air. Bring a water bottle, comfortable clothing, and your enthusiasm for a fun, energizing workout! Weather permitting, classes are held outdoors on the Main Stage at Switchyard Park. (Add accessibility information) The main stage is a smooth, concrete surface, accessible via ramp or stairs. Pre-registration not required; $10 per person, pay with cash or credit card, or buy a $90 punch pass good for any 10 classes. Punch passes expire Dec. 31, 2025. M 05/05/2025 - 06/23/2025 7-8 p.m. Tai Chi is a moving meditation in the form of a series of gentle exercises that create harmony between the mind and body. The ultimate purpose is to cultivate our inner life energy (qi) to flow smoothly and powerfully through the body. This is a spiritual experience, as much as a physical one. No Class Monday, May 26, in observance of Memorial Day.
Tu 05/06/2025 - 06/24/2025 7-8 p.m. Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That's exactly what ZUMBA® is all about. It's an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, dance fitness party that's moving millions of people toward joy and health!
F 05/09/2025 - 06/27/2025 12-1 p.m. This Hatha-style class is designed to introduce fundamental yoga postures that build strength, balance and flexibility. This style of yoga also emphasizes mindful breath control and body alignment. Twin Lakes Recreation Center members can attend this class for free!
