Hi there, My name is Lila and I'm cute as a button...not to mention the sweetest little dog ever! I am a also in need of a very special family. See, I came to the shelter in really rough shape. I don't have control over my rear extremities and sadly am unlikely to have control of them in the future. I went to the vet after coming to the shelter as a stray and although I don't have any obvious breaks or malformations, I was given a poor prognosis of recovering the use of my legs. I will most likely need lifelong help from a wheelchair, assistance using the restroom and possible surgical intervention. While I can't get all of that here at the shelter, these folks are hoping to find me a family that can provide for me. My wheel chair will go home with me thanks to our friends at The Monroe County Humane Association!
