The first thing you will notice about Walter when you meet him is how handsome and regal he looks! His ears sit very high on his head and it makes him look like the cat Egyptian statues were modeled after. But that is where his regalness ends, I’m afraid. He is a very talkative fellow with a uniquely croaky meow which does not quite match his ‘worshiped for a millennia’ vibe. However, once he’s comfortable, his croaky meow will sometimes turn into soft, cute little merps that will absolutely steal your heart. Walter has two great loves in this world (soon to be three when he finds his forever family!), being outside, but he is still warming up to this whole harness and leash idea, and his favorite feather toy. His feather toy broke recently and not even a Sarah McLachlan commercial had such sad eyes as Walter while he waited for the replacement to arrive in the mail. But as long as his feather toy is in good working order, Walter is a very chill cat. He is unphased by new people, even kids. Walter is an older gentleman and he does have some health issues that are easily managed with medication but he takes his medicine without any fuss. I’ve also been able to trim his nails without any issues. He is a great cat that will fit perfectly into your life if you’ll give him a chance. He’s got a lot of love to give and he’s ready to spend his golden years being worshiped like one of those statues snuggling on the couch with you. Walter does have hyperthyroid (like so many other old cats) and receives medication for it daily.
