Scout is a smart, loyal, and affectionate dog looking for a home away from the hustle and bustle of downtown living. We have become very attached to her over the year she has been with us, but we live in a dense neighborhood. Our house is on a very busy corner with lots of dog walkers, free roaming cats, and skateboarders. It’s all a bit too overstimulating for her. She would do great in a quieter setting, ideally in a house with a fenced back yard and a mail box that is not on the front porch. She’s good with kids and other dogs, but gets too excited around cats. She loves hiking in the woods, chasing balls and sticks in our backyard, and chewing her braided rope toy. Scout is fully house trained and happy to spend time in her crate during the work/school day. She responds well to commands including sit, stay, leave it, wait, paw, look and hand. She gets good reports on her occasional visits to doggie day care.
