A Storm culvert pipe under the entrance drive was covered in due to construction traffic in the area which caused ponding in the right of way . The contractor was notified and the pipe was uncovered to allow drainage we suggested to Duke Energy project supervisor that a storm box with grate would help to prevent the pipe from being filled in again.

The drive culvert has been opened up to drain. We suggested to Duke Energy that they install a storm box over the pipe with a grate to prevent the pipe from filling in.

We visited the site on 11/17/17. The water is ponding on the IMI driveway. The issue is on private property but is negatively impacting the pedestrian travel along the 8' sidepath in the public R/W. We've made contact with the P&T dept to see if there is any code violations we can site to force the property owner to repair/maintain the storm ditch and culvert on the southside of the driveway. It appears that the Verizon tower site filled in the ditch that allowed the road to drain to a culvert.
