I own the property located at 1005 N. Jackson St, 47404. Shortly after purchasing the property the house next door burned down. We felt very fortunate that our house was not damaged. The house was demolished, however, shortly after demolishing the house someone has set up a tent on the lot and multiple people have been seen using the tent. There is trash surrounding the tent. Though we have not seen a fire there is what appears to be a makeshift fire pit. We use this property as a short term rental and it has the proper permits. I am personally concerned about the safety of my wife who spends some of her days working on improvements within the property. Obviously concerned about the impact on our ability to rent the home with the above described situation. I'm not sure what can be done but after reviewing the code it does not seem like this fits the intended use of the property. I am also empathetic to the rise of homelessness in our community, but this is a residential neighborhood and for the safety of all community members something should be done. We dodged a serious issue when the house burnt down and worry we may not be so lucky if something happens again. Thanks for your attention to this matter, please reach out with any questions. House has been abandoned for over a year. I am concerned that it may be overrun by vermin as it is covered by vines. The front door is periodically open and squatters may be living there.

There is so much garbage outside this house, the house looks like it's falling down and I think an older lady and children live here. I own the houses next to this and it is VERY much negatively impacting our life. PLEASE do something!

Hoarder lives here. His house is so full he cannot open the garage. He can barely open his front door. The clutter is spilling into the driveway and lawn. Two vehicles in the drive are as full as possible with stuff.

There is an alley directly next to my window that is blocked off immediately after my window. I feel extremely unsafe as there are people, homeless or not, doing drugs and being loud at night. I have contacted my landlord about moving the gate to allow my window to be on the blocked off side but they said it was it was an emergency exit so they could not do anything. I have seen men passed out, stumbling in this alley and feel very passionately about it being blocked off. Please, is there anything you guys can do to make my bedroom feel safer at night.

This house appears abandoned. Last week the roof caved in over the covered front porch and it knocked the front storm door off. The brick is now falling down off the Chimney that is crumbling. The lawn was never moved last year either. Seems unsafe and is also unsightly.
