There is a loose cord from one end of the building in the grass to the “office” unit of the apartment complex. This presents a personal safety hazard to myself and my animal.
Retaining wall has collapsed. Property is eroding onto sidewalk.
More than one person is sick with bronchitis in multiple units in the building. The doctor states that bronchitis can be caused by materials that pollute indoor air. I know that we all share one furnace where one unit has control over the temperature of all six apartments in the building. There was questionable contaminated water that was sitting in a unit for the month that the residents were getting sick; it was plunged down the drained Monday 11/7. Though the water is not there anymore, the health and safety of the ventilation & air quality is still in question. I also cannot open the windows easily to the whole apartment to let fresh air in (is that a fire hazard?)
There is a severe black mold problem in apartment 3349 at Acadia Court. The property manager has been informed and is taking steps to clean it. However, he is not bringing in professional certified mold removal experts and informed me they were cleaning it with bleach, which does not kill mold. The mold seems to be coming from the air vents and has caused at least one person to be quite ill.
The leasing office and pool building of Woodbridge Apartments has restrooms you can get trapped in. There are two restrooms, one mens and one womens, that connect to the exterior (on the pool side) and the interior (on the leasing office side). During normal business hours you can easily enter and exit the restrooms without a key from the interior, leasing office, side. You can also enter the restroom without a key from the pool side, but in order to return to the pool you must use a key that tenants have been given. This creates an environment you can get trapped in. Once the office is closed, it is impossible to leave the restroom through the door that is normally unlocked during the day. If you accidentally enter from the pool side without having a key, once the door closes you'll be trapped until someone finds you. Surely this is unsafe and not up to code. I'm reporting this anonymously as I am a tenant and do not want to cause trouble with the landlord. Thanks for your time.
Smoke detectors non working beeping over a week, one has been hanging from my son room ceiling, I have told staff in regards of being freightened it will fall on him also have reported it to them in writing. The microwave light has been out as well as two in my bathroom in which I've asked them to reach several times and I am disabled with hip replacements so it isn't a possibility for me to do so. Stairway has harmful items blocking the door. Stairway has harmful items such as Ziploc bag next to a needle appearing to not have a covering so the pointy tip side is visibly out and I notified staff in case a child or anyone incidentally gets hurt or stabbed with it. Window screen appears to have huge slit in it Heat not working all winter and fall in which I personally purchased a small portable heater. All detectors beeps but they do not assist me to replace making me very concerned for my safety.
Bedbugs in location. Apartment-wide issue. Please involve health department.
This house seems to be abandoned, yet it doesn't seem like the city has taken any steps to appropriately secure the area or take care of landscaping etc.
The next door building just north of my building has been boarded up since I've been in my current location since October and has now seemed to have part of the back wood torn apart and a hold has been opened up for what I'm guessing in entrance/exit for the ever growing number of homeless in my area that are probably squatting inside for shelter at night. I've heard that this building was overpopulated with homeless last year until it was boarded up and fenced off. They use the slats of wood you see to the hole to the to 'close' when they're not there and then a piece of wood on the interior from the inside at night. Not only is the building an eyesore for the area, but the amount of homeless trekking through the alley and hanging out behind and beside my business is increasing and unsafe. I have customers, children and family that park in the back parking lot and I do not feel safe having them park there with this building being opened back up by the homeless to do whatever they're doing in there. The porch on this house is MISSING! Meaning, there are no floor boards. Anyone stepping onto the porch at night in the dark (human or animal) will fall into an abyss. This building should be repaired or removed - it is dangerous.
