Bed bugs in apartment on and off for last two years throughout the building and other units. Bites on legs and chest and neighbor is having issues as well. 18 days ago management treated bed bugs in unit 303 of building 303. Management also treated for bed bugs in November 2025. On going issue.
Mold infestation in bedrooms.
There is a mold infestation in the every one and apartment in the complex. The foundation and insulation of the apartment isn’t built correctly. There are moister and water leaks often.
I am a second floor resident in 1015 N Rogerd St, and share a concrete balcony with other residents on floor 2. I have concerns about the safety of the balcony, especially near my door (Apt 12C). The balcony had a significant dip towards the middle, the railing is wobbly & loose, the balcony itself creaks and shifts when you walk on it. When you walk on the balcony, it shakes and moves. It has seemed to get worse over time. I have also noticed, when looking on the first floor, that one of the support beams is totally rotten (that is the attached photo). My landlord's property management company (Town Manor Real Estate) conducted an inspection on all the apartments a month ago, and it was not noted. This is a safety concern for me, and every guest that I've had notes being concerned about the balcony. Today, my neighbors were using rent-a-center as a service and the employees were uncomfortable walking on the balcony as well, testing where the creaks and shifts happened.
Mold in walls, mold in bathroom, no working a/c units on first floor, bed bugs found, the owner Jerry Patel treats this property like it’s not his concern, also safety issues for employees working 11pm-7am with being sexually harassed and the GM Shawna Lewis is told to lie to guest about the property conditions as well and how things are ran. As an citizen of Bloomington Indiana I am reporting this comfort inn for the second time and will continue to do so until there is change.

Despite the BHA making multiple efforts to ask the resident in 918 to stop allowing multiple guests to chainsmoke cigarettes and other "combustible materials" given that this is a non-smoking building, I have a documented medical issue, and the presence of oxygen tanks, the resident in 918 continues to allow guests to smoke. The office offered to transfer me to a different unit, but upon receiving the key after signing the lease, the unit had serious water damage and heavy mold. I am not able to move into the new unit until those issues are addressed. Resident in 918 continues to allow smoking day and night, high foot traffic, and sits with his door open all day waiting for me to come and go so he can make comments to try to get a reaction out of me in retaliation for the previous report. The owner of this building has, for more than a year, failed to maintain this building in a sanitary condition. When we had high winds on March 15, 2026, I discovered materials blown into my lawn that contained what looked to have asbestos in it. The property owner has also left his property to accumulate mold and an obscene amount of trash and fails to do basic upkeep without me filing reports with the City. At some points I believe I’ve seen rodents on the property. This is beyond just annoying and ugly; it’s actually hazardous to our neighbors’ health.
ATTENTION - YEARS LONG BED BUG INFESTATION, ELDER AND DISABLED CONCERNS. I am reporting serious and ongoing concerns at Cambridge Square Apartments, 303 N Pete Ellis Dr. Residents—many of whom are elderly or disabled and therefore federally protected under fair housing and disability laws—have been living with a bed bug infestation that has persisted for approximately four years despite repeated complaints to management and prior reports to authorities. Tenants report frequent pesticide applications that have failed to resolve the infestation and appear inconsistent with proper integrated pest management practices recommended for residential complexes. Many residents are physically unable to meet the extensive preparation requirements demanded by pest control companies, such as moving heavy furniture or discarding belongings, yet some report being pressured or threatened with lease violations or eviction if they do not dispose of expensive personal items they cannot afford to replace. There are also reports of tenant belongings being removed or discarded without clear consent during pest control procedures, creating financial and emotional hardship for vulnerable residents. Multiple tenants describe an atmosphere of fear and intimidation associated with property manager Diane Cook and the management practices of Glick, the corporate owner, where residents feel discouraged from reporting legitimate health and safety concerns due to fear of retaliation. Family members attempting to advocate for elderly or disabled tenants report being misinformed or dismissed by management. Prior concerns have also been reported to the city regarding the use of chemicals not appropriate for residential settings, and residents continue to report repeated pesticide exposure without resolution of the infestation. Many tenants require reasonable accommodation due to age or disability but report receiving little meaningful assistance from management in preparing their units for treatment, as required under federal housing protections. These residents are federally protected individuals, and the conditions described represent a serious concern for public health, tenant safety, and civil rights. We respectfully request that the city conduct an immediate investigation into the infestation, pest control practices, property management conduct, and potential intimidation or retaliation against tenants so that these residents can live in safe and dignified housing without fear of punishment for reporting legitimate concerns.
