Mr. Fleetwood stated that today he witnessed several vehicles going around a city bus that was stopped to let students off near the tennis courts. Mr. Fleetwood stated that 2 girls were nearly run over as they crossed the street to get to their cars that were parked in the parking lot. Mr. Fleetwood thinks that there should be some sort of traffic signal/caution light or possibily a crossing guard. He is afraid that someone is going to get hurt. The parking lot is on Woodlawn St by tennis cts
Mr. Guess has called Police several times to request that they radar near his home between 8 & 10 a.m. and 2 and 5 p.m., to slow speeding vehicles. Guess has offered his driveway for police to park in when radaring speeders. Can Police Department radar this area?
Foliage is blocking alley off of 10th St. Its the alley behind the house located on the corner of E. 10th and N. Morton. Apparently it is blocking the alley and making for hazardous driving conditions.
Stop sign is completely covered by vegitation at the intersection of W.13th & Fairview.
The request is actually from the owner of 1425 S. Madison Street for "No Parking" in front of his house. The curb is currently painted 20' back from the intersection & 5' on either side of his driveway. This leaves only 22-24' (1 car space) in front of his house. XJD Properties recently purchased prop. at 321 W. Hillside Drive. At shift change there are several cars that come off of Hillside onto Madison and if anyone is parked there they are almost hit. Most residents have off street pkg.
This complaint is in lieu of a letter that Mr. Brostoff was to submit to the Traffic Commission requesting that the existing loading zone sign in front of 1200 N. College be removed and the parking revert back to 2 hour. Brostoff moved his business to this address within the last few months. There was an existing loading zone sign in front of his business. He does not need this loading zone and would like to have the parking space for customers.
Mr. Edwards would like BPD to run radar on the speeders on South Walnut. He sees officers patrolling but feels it's not enough and someone is going to get hurt by a speeding automobile.
