Reported to Mike Carter via email 1/11/18. Reporting to uReport as well. FYI. With the new snow, it’s a lot easier to see where the leak is at. I hope you had a nice long weekend… Best, Rick On Jan 11, 2018, at 2:27 PM, Rick Birch Dietz wrote: Mike, here’s the scoop on the leak we discussed. Thanks! I live at 1500 E Maxwell Ln. I’m at the SE corner of Maxwell and Sheridan. There appears to be water pooling on east side of Sheridan near the western entrance to my driveway. I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. Since late last year, I've noticed water coming out of the ground here, flowing across the multi-use path, and into the street. When the temperature dropped below freezing, this produced a considerably large layer of ice across the path. I don't know if this water is coming from the homeowner's property or from a leaking waterline, but I think someone should take a look at it.
Water is not coming in from the main. Suspect frozen pipe leading to house.
Hi, I noticed that there is a lot of water seeping from the water meter area of my neighbor's yard. His address is 1200 E Prairie Drive, in the Fairwood Terrace subdivision off Old 37 North, near the fire station. The meter is located near the Fairwood Drive side of his yard. He doesn't go outside much so probably hasn't noticed it. I think there may be a leak or something so I thought I should report it.
Our water hasn't been working since Sunday. The employee who came out then said the pipe was frozen from meter to main and that a crew would be out. A crew has not been out today and I am trying to find out when one will be and when we can expect to have water on again.
Missing water meter cover between 1023 and 1025 S Walnut Street, Bloomington IN. Appears to be an 11 inch cover that is missing.
Question: why do my house plumbing leaks occur when lots of people leave town for vacation? This happens not every vacation, but most of the leaks in my house have occurred like today, at vacation time, or 4th of july, etc. Is it that city water pressure to my house goes up then? Do you try to regulate pressure for this vacation exodus?
my address 515 1/2 W Howe st. Bloomington 47403. I have recently noticed decreased water pressure at least half or more at all hours of the day. I have no leaks in my home and am unsure which meter is mine but it does not appear to be spinning. I am unsure of who to contact the city or my landlord. It appears to be a leak before the meter as far as I can tell. Email is best contact thanks, - Nick Westover.
Thank you to CBU for starting to fix the two sunken gutter grates on 10th. They were a driving hazard.
