FROZEN PIPES, NO WATER
FROZEN PIPES, NO WATER
Water is not coming in from the main. Suspect frozen pipe leading to house.
Water does not come out after coming back from winter break.
Water meter pipe is busted. I just got the whole underneath of my traliers water pipes detoughed and the base of the water meter is cracked I had water spraying all over me. I wrapped it up for now but still a very serious matter
Our water hasn't been working since Sunday. The employee who came out then said the pipe was frozen from meter to main and that a crew would be out. A crew has not been out today and I am trying to find out when one will be and when we can expect to have water on again.
Reported to Mike Carter via email 1/11/18. Reporting to uReport as well. FYI. With the new snow, it’s a lot easier to see where the leak is at. I hope you had a nice long weekend… Best, Rick On Jan 11, 2018, at 2:27 PM, Rick Birch Dietz wrote: Mike, here’s the scoop on the leak we discussed. Thanks! I live at 1500 E Maxwell Ln. I’m at the SE corner of Maxwell and Sheridan. There appears to be water pooling on east side of Sheridan near the western entrance to my driveway. I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. Weak water pressure at 4600 S Old St Rd 37 Bloomington IN 47401
We had the water meter turned off due to a line break. Our plumber tells us the meter itself is shatter and will need to be replaced.
Meters located at 117 S Union, 102 S Bryan and 104 S Bryan are not buried deep enough to prevent freezing. COB staff requested the form to be submitted so repairs can be made. Thank you.
We are using a lot more water than we should. Would like meter/lines checked for leaks, etc.
