SEWER ODOR IN HOME AND OUTSIDE. CUSTOMER WAS ADVISED TO POUR WATER DOWN UNUSED DRAINS AND THAT WE WOULD COME CHECK OUR MAINS.
Raw sewage coming from drain/pipe between the homes. Contacted Utilities and they will try to get a crew out today.
Drains very slow. Had plumber out last week.
PETERS STATED THAT THE CITY DID PAVING WORK ON HILLSDALE LAST YEAR. A GRATE OF SOME TYPE WAS INSTALLED NEAR THE STOP SIGN ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF HILLSDALE & 5TH STREET. THE GRATE MAY BE STOPPED UP BECAUSE AFTER A RAIN THE WATER POOLS AT THIS CORNER. THE WATER DOES NOT RUN OFF, THEREFORE, IT BECOMES STAGNANT AFTER SITTING THERE FOR AWHILE. THESE THEN BECOMES A PRIME AREA FOR MOSQUITOES, CONCERNED WITH THE HEALTH ISSUE.
My roommate and I experienced sewage water expelled from our shower drain at our rental property managed by Granite Student Living on Saturday 1/24/26 when we tried to plunge a toilet. We have had three plumbing companies come out to inspect the line leading out of the house, and the conclusion is that the clay piping has been damaged/collapsed, and there may be further blockages that need the use of a high pressure water jet. We have been told water can slowly flow out of the house, but trying to send solid waste out of the property could cause a repeat of the original incident. Our management has been reluctant to assist us, meaning we have not had reliable access to a toilet on our property because it is the only bathroom. Granite management also informed us that they were unable to help because it was the entire street sewer main that collapsed, but after asking this to city utility maintenance, I was told that was not the issue. I'd like for the outside line to be inspected so our management company will either fix the issue or help find us temporary housing so we have reliable access to a bathroom.
Sewer backup.
Daycare Center on Pete Ellis Dr. called to report sewer bubbling at the apt. complex (Longview Ave.) next to the Daycare Center.
Raw sewage coming out of manhole behind back fence of the daycare. Terrible odor.
