I know when staff comes out to check out this parking complaint this car will no longer be here. Today is Saturday, and I'm pretty sure your department doesn't check on tickets on the weekend. This is extremely dangerous! I almost hit this vehicle turning off Henderson on to Wylie. Because I know the rules of the road, I know if I had hit this parked vehicle, I would be my fault. That seems ridiculous. Apparently the people in this house do not know the rules of the road as there have been multiple complaints about this section of road in the past few weeks. This exact car was in the spot and reported last weekend. Could you please, please consider putting up signage that states "No parking allowed"? I ask this in the interest of the safety of all of us who live in this neighborhood and regularly take this turn onto Wylie. Thank you.

Location: Public alleyway running between W. Dixie Street and W. Dodds Street, directly behind/adjacent to 963 S Fairview St. Issue Description: I am writing to report a severe maintenance and access hazard in the public right-of-way. The public alleyway at this location is heavily overgrown with public-side vegetation, bushes, and tree limbs. This unmaintained overgrowth has completely blocked my property at 614 W Dixie’s ingress. It is physically impossible to safely pull a vehicle into the address without sustaining vehicle damage from the brush, entirely cutting off access to my property. Because this is a dedicated public right-of-way, I am requesting that the Street Division dispatch a crew to cut back the encroaching limbs and clear the obstruction to restore neighborhood property access as soon as possible. Thank you.

ATTN: Engineering Dept. For years, trees and bushes on city R/W have impeded Prospect Street adjoining the property (west of S. Madison St). Beacon GIS will confirm that the overgrowth is in the R/W. The street department at times has cut back the overgrowth. The planning department has indicated that there are invasive plants at this location. Trees hang down and touch vehicles when not trimmed. The problem has continued to get worse over the past several years. Not only is the overgrowth unmanageable, it is unsightly, detracting from neighborhood property values. These cars park here everyday, right next to the no parking sign. There is residential street parking available on the other side of the street that they could be using. It causes traffic problems when cars are parked on both sides of the street.

This bike lane is blocked this morning with no clear warning or detour for bikes. Is this a proper closure?

There was a vehicle and trailer blocking the sidewalk on Henderson St. just north of Soma. The owner was by his car talking to a neighbor, and when I asked him to move it because it was blocking the sidewalk, he mouthed off, said explicit things to me, and refused to move it. I took a picture of his license plate.

Vehicles can’t get through when the IU students park on both sides of the street. Maybe signage is needed?
