There are bushes on the northwest corner that obstructs the line of sight. 5th Street currently yields for traffic on Hillsdale Drive. If you are coming from the west, it is difficult to see traffic coming from the north due to the overgrown bushes. There was an accident at this intersection last night and the person hit stated that they could not see oncoming traffic.
Caller is complaining of a tree growing up a telephone pole as well as tall grass. She claims that there is guttering in the alley. She stated that it was not well cared for.
This complaint was left on voice mail by Becci Brock, Risk Management Dept. She received a phone call from a citizen that stated there is a line of sight problem in the east/west alley between 15th/16th Streets as you come out onto Dunn Street. The alley is overgrown with bushes and shrubs making it difficult to see oncoming traffic. She did not state which corner had the problem.
The problem is behind this house in the alley. Line of sight the trees really need trimmed here complaintant states.
Complaintant states that the problem is at an interection and he didn't know the exacy address. It is at the intersection of E. 5th St. and N. Clark St. there are trees blocking the N. view for buses that drive this area. They can not see oncoming traffic because of these trees.
There are tree limbs and bushes overhanging the sidewalk causing a "tunnel" effect. The trees and bushes are also blocking a warning sign for the Fire Station plus a traffic regulatory sign.
Sight distance problem at the southeast corner of N. Walnut Street and 12th Street. There are bushes that obstruct the view for west bound traffic on 12th Street at Walnut Street.
Tree limbs hanging over street on east side of Summit St between Central and 11th Street. It is difficult to drive down street when someone is parked on the west side.
Ms Lucas is concerned about people parking on BOTH sides of Covenanter on East side of 4-way stop--works at Kroger's in Jackson Creek and has been experiencing problems pulling out onto Covenanter--she's almost been hit twice b/c can't see around parked cars. Employees have to park in back, so have to exit onto Covenanter near Eaton Mews. Employees have noticed problem since new business, Dial America, moved in--problem is worse in the evening. She said she didn't notice any signs.
