Tap water taste like dirt, smells slightly of sewage, and leaves chemical taste and tingle in mouth after drinking. Concerns for the safety of the water and at minimum is not palatable at all.
Black flakes in my water that leave a greasy residue. I last reported this issue on March 16, 2026. The issue is not consistent but seems to pop up randomly which makes it a threat as it is easy not to notice when I am potentially showering with it, washing with it, and even drinking it. Water is brown coming from all water faucets.
Water is brown from faucet, toilet water also unclear.
Water is coming out of the faucet yellow this morning. It is also yellow coming out of the garden hose. What is causing this? I am concerned it is unsafe to use.
Our water is brown! Toilets stained - love having to wash my clothes in it. Keep on raising our rates. That's all. Don't bother answering me with the usual excuses about high water in Monroe.

Just like other people have reported, our water is brown/green. I want to make sure it's safe.
When I filled our bathtub tonight I noticed the water coming out of out faucet is light green and there is plant matter floating in it. If you zoom in on the attached photo you can see the little plant. This has not happened since we have lived in this house the past 3 years.
