The condition of the main roads within the city are the worst I’ve ever seen in the years I’ve lived here. Should we have to be still dodging potholes in mid May? I’d like to know what the road improvement schedule is for the city this year please. Can you send me that ? ALSO ….. Can you explain why funds were prioritized to fully pave AND install TONS of speed bumps recently in these areas : E Arden Dr, E Windsor Dr, E Wilton Dr, S Oxford Dr, E Thornton Dr, S Maxwell St, S Highland Ave, S Covey Ln OVER taking care of our heavily traveled roads like High Street and many others? Giant sinkhole in the road by the building at 822 W. 1st St. It has gotten significantly bigger in the past few months. Easily over 5 feet deep and extends across more than half the road underneath. It is on an access road that an ambulance uses.

There are multiple potholes on Amp Way, near Target and Current at Latimer Square. The largest is past the entrance that Target shares with Chik-fil-a. Further down the road there are two, one pretty deep, right at the corner crosswalk. This concerns me due to the blind corner and crosswalk. Some drivers come around that corner in the middle of the road, and it makes it difficult to avoid hitting the pothole. This road is, at times very busy and congested, with bus, car, scooter, bicycle, and foot traffic. The curbside parking for the apartments has cars facing two different directions, which gets chaotic. The turn lane in front of Target is very tight if you're turning right, with poor visibility due to the hedges, and oncoming traffic often speeding. it wouldn't be a bad place for a few speed bumps, especially with the IU Students returning soon.

What is the TIMELINE for paving Lindbergh St between W17th and W 11th? I would like to share your short answer tonight as I preside over the Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association meeting. This is a general observation. Over the last few years I have been seeing metal sheets screwed to Bloomington roads, presumably to cover work in progress. I have observed a problem with many of these sheets. They are screwed down with small gauge screws. They are not sufficient to keep the sheets secure. They work their way out and stick up an inch in some places. Their heads are small. They look sharp enough to damage a tire, and a damaged tire is a safety issue.
