Someone needs to fix this before the street collapses. The utilities company says there’s a stream under ground that is bubbling to the surface. Additional background: there was a water main break about 6-10 feet from this location about 6 months ago and there was no indication there was a river running underground.
Several grade and issues with crumbling street surface on E. Linden Hill. Last year the water main was repaired and the street was partially resurfaced (by hand mixing) leaving the street with unlevel surfaces. In addition other parts of the street that are crumbling were not repaired. The street is fairly small so resurfacing the entire street with blacktop at the same time would easily rectify the issues that are on the whole street.
The side of the street some 4 feet long has sunk into the ground, creating a large hole that regularly fills with water.
Major depression on west side of road, right before the mailbox for 712 W Glen Arbor Way filling with water and also a wide pothole.
The pavement appears sunken and now a water puddle remains even if it hasn’t rained...
This speedbump, on East 1st, between Eastside & Rose, is surrounded by potholes. The attached picture faces west. There always seems to be water standing here. It is unclear whether it is bubbling up from below the ground, or is some sort of stormwater runoff, but it seems to be eroding the street here.
Greetings, I spoke briefly with a street maintenance crew as they were working in front of my home - and thought I'd share the conversation here. Over the past few years, the gutter from in front of our home (1504 E Elliston) on down to Fenway Pl has deteriorated significantly to the point that our driveway & yard are sinking as well. I'm no longer able to get my cars out of my driveway without scraping the bottom. When we get major rainstorms, I've noticed that the water runs directly into the ground from the gaps in the gutters & road, which I'd imagine contributes to the gutters & road sinking. I appreciate that they were out there patching the holes, but the patching really is very temporary from my observation. I was wondering if the city would have any plans to shore up the foundation, perhaps rebuild the gutters in a way that my driveway/yard won't continue to sink. Large gully/washout running along side Rodgers Road east of the Stands and west of Sherwood Oaks Church on the north side of the roadway In some places the washout is approximately 30 inches deep or greater. Stone is needed to stop the water and protect drivers and the roadway.
