Maybe a complex problem, but there is often standing water (rain or shine, but especially when it's been raining) on the sidewalk and the street in the block just east of Walnut on the south side of 12th Street. .
While this area is under construction, I wonder if you could fix the drainage on northwest corner of the intersection of 6th and Adams. The storm drain sits slightly above the pavement on one corner. The intersection itself may also be below grade. The intersection collects an inch or two of water when it rains.
The asphalt on South Clark was recently repaired (I assume because of a recent water main break), and the new asphalt has sunk in somewhat. It's not clear that it's safe. This is on the street at the end of a driveway between 126 and 128 South Clark Street.
Last week there was a water main issue on N Kinser Pike very close to the entrance of Upper Cascades Park. There is a deep cut made in the pavement as you are driving N that will make you get new tires and an alignment. The signage is good but that doesn't go far enough. THE HOLE NEEDS ABOUT 4 INCHES OF FILLER AND SMOOTHED. THANKS. I'd say we could bury some evidence in it..but I'm not sure that's a good idea. Because I live next to Cascades Golf Course and many, many people drive that portion of Kinser Pike please HURRY UP..
Water access cover broken in the parking spot in front of house
Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. Large hole in street that takes up most of the westbound lane ever since water main repair on March 23. It was filled with rock but is getting worse each day.
Right in the middle of the intersection of 7th/Grant is a metal plate that is damaged and dangerous. It is not as big as a sewer manhole or even a water-meter cover. It is about 7" in diameter and appears to have been painted bright blue, but the entire center of the plate is missing, leaving a hole that one could step into and twist an ankle or a small animal could fall in there and not be able to escape. We called the City Streets department about this awhile back and made a verbal report, but nothing has been done about this. That was probably a month ago.
Complex, long-standing problem: water pools and has nowhere to drain to on Woodlawn just north of 12th Street and up against the south side of the RR tracks. This isn't such an issue when the temperature is reasonable, but when it freezes it poses a sliding risk when the train is approaching. Major accident just waiting to happen.
Can anything be done here? I understand it is for draining storm water, but the hole is quite large, and the cover is very loose, I could probably take the whole grate off and move it
