Caller spoke w/county highway superintendent's office about getting Wapehani Lane paved or chipped/sealed. It was chipped & sealed by the county 1-2 years ago. Caller was told that the City is responsible for this raod by someone at the county highway superintendent's office. Dust from road is bothering caller's parents, the Johnson family, and killing vegetation.
Alley behind her house (Washtn/Lincoln-15th/16th) has gravel half-way down it. The other half is grass which she has always kept mowed. She is 81 and can't keep up with it anymore. Could the City gravel the rest of the alley?
Mr. Lord expressed concern about the "man-made" potholes around the city. He realizes that he does not live in the city, but still spends money here and is tired of running into these potholes. He wanted to suggest manhole "spacers", the piece of equipment between the manhole cover and the pavement. Call made at approx. 2:00 p.m., August 20, 1997. Anonymous caller complained about the entrance and the overall condition of the parking lot at Frank Southern Center.
Mrs. Otto stated that the drainage area in front of her house has basically eroded away and something needs to be done to fix it. She stated that someone from the city was to come out about a year ago and no one did.
Ms. Brinegar stated that near the above address there is a low place in the north side of the roadway. Ms. Brinegar stated that it is simking more and more and the water collects there for long periods of time. She would like someone to take a look at this area and if you need moore inforamtion or to provide her with an update please give her a call.
Alley between 516 & 520 North Grant Street is in bad condition.
Complaint of a dip in the road on the crosswalk when crossing College Avenue as a pedestrian. Caused her to trip, and wants spot fixed. Can be reached between 8 and 4 at number listed in report.
There are a few potholes at the intersection of 20th and Washington.
A large pothole has been reported in the center of the road on Madison street between 6th and 7th. Some smaller and less severe potholes are also reported as being on the sides of the road near the curb.
