Please turn on the fountain at Park Ridge Park.
Please turn on the fountain at Park Ridge Park.
Constituents have reported to Council members that the basketball rims at Switchyard are damaged. I have not seen, simply relaying the concern. Thanks!
Largish (at least 10 by 20 sq ft) patch of putative Japanese stiltgrass seedings found in Winslow Woods. . Centered on creek bed (located on both sides of bed), and located about 60-90 south of storm drains located in backyard of house that borders the northern boundary of Winslow woods. There may be other patches nearby but I didn’t look for them.
Not a complaint necessarily but a request. Water fountain in Park Ridge East only has the top part work. The lower part on the base has no handle (looks removed). Is used for pets, etc. It would be very appreciated if water could also be accessed that way. Thank you!
Water fountain at seminary park is not yet turned on. Will it be soon? 90 degree temps make for thirsty people. Thanks!
The water fountain on the far side of the big Cascades playground is leaking badly.
On the basketball courts, one of the hoops is missing the crank to raise/lower the basket. I've seen individuals manually raise and lower it by using a similar piece to the cranks, but having the crank replaced greatly enhances the usability of the courts.
Someone drew penis’s and balls on the playground equipment at the playground on Graham.
There are holes in the ground where the small, wooden fence used to be along Sheridan Creek in Bryan Park. Several of these have not been filled since that fence was removed. Friday evening, my dog tripped into one of these holes. She has developed a limp since and will need a veterinary exam Monday. These holes are large enough that a dog/ child/small adult foot can go into them. They have become covered in leaves and difficult to spot. The holes are on the north side of the sidewalk between Woodlawn and the park restrooms, at least.
THE ISSUE: On the left, looking west toward the basketball courts in Bryan Park. Over the years attempts have been made to deal with erosion caused by the stream that flows into Sheridan Creek. A SUGGESTION: Erect a lttle bridge for pedestrian like the one illustrated on the right (on Highland between Southdowns and the pedestrian / bicycle link to Weatherstone in Deer Park over a drainage ditch.
