Mechanism is broken. Parts will be ordered. In future may remove ability for public to raise and lower the goal height.
Other: On the basketball courts, one of the hoops is missing the crank to raise/lower the basket. I've seen individuals manually raise and lower it by using a similar piece to the cranks, but having the crank replaced greatly enhances the usability of the courts.

Austin, Thank you for your email. Currently the one hand crank is missing because the mechanism is not functioning. We are experience multiple issues with the mechanism for raising and lowering the baskets being damaged, possibly due to people hanging on the rim and the torque it places on the mechanism. This will be the third time we have replaced/repaired this. These are expensive and time consuming repairs. Because of this we are considering whether to remove the cranks altogether and leave them at the 10' position. A decision has not yet been made. Hsiung Marler marlerh@bloomington.in.gov
