There is a dangerous section of the blue slide at the Lower Cascades playground. Linda Ebright was going down the slide with her 3 year old daughter when she went around the bend in the slide she says she hit her head and might have a concussion. She talked to a coworker who experienced the same thing at an earlier date. She would like to be contacted about this issue.

The small karst feature (sinkhole) on the northeast side of Weimer Lake (in Wapehani Park) has greatly increased in size and depth over the last several months, and the lake is draining away! The water level has dropped by a few feet, and the lake surface has shrunk by half. The city already lost one reservoir this way in the 1940s (the one in Leonard Springs Park); would not it be a shame to lose another one? Is there a way to plug the hole (dumping a truckload of gravel and cement into it, perhaps?) before the entire lake flows aways? The picture shows the lake and the sinhole as of a week or so ago; since then, the water level dropped another foot or two, as the sinkhole's draining point is now much deeper than it was back then. And there seems to be more space for further drop...

Hello there, My name is Yuzhen, and I live in Kensington park. We have been enjoying the Schmalz Farm Park in the neighborhood. My son loved to play in the playground in the park. He is a big kid now, and he likes sport more. So do his friends in the neighborhood! It seems to me that most of the parks in Bloomington have some kind of sports facility (neat!). I wonder if the city has any plan for building sports facility in the Schmalz Farm Park (a basketball court would be lovely, but any kind of sports facility will be great:)). A tree from what I believe is City property in Griffy Lake Nature Preserve has fallen and landed in my backyard. I called the non-emergency number to report about a week ago but haven't heard anything. The tree is tall and half is still standing with other half in my yard. I am at 423 East Lakewood Drive. On August 21st, I reported a homeless camp at Wapehani Park. It was examined and reported back to me that the camp was on private property. I found this quite strange, because it is on a trail that has a difficulty marker at the beginning of the trail. It totally looks like the other trails in the park and there's absolutely no way to tell it's private property. At any rate, the homeless people have moved on and have left a large amount of trash in what I believe is the park. There are probably 15+ large bags worth of trash - clothes, books, pans, papers, etc. My original report was 165599. I really hope someone will look, because I really don't think what I'm describing is on private property. Thanks for your consideration!

Just suggesting the installation of soccer goals at Olcott Park for recreational purposes. There does not seem to be anywhere on this side of town that has them, if there is any place at all other than Karst Farm Park.

The water fountain at third street park is not draining. Also, some of the railings around the decorative fountain are loose at their bases.

The largest section in Ferguson dog park has many puddles that fill in when it rains, one of which is almost always full and is very deep. The puddles get very muddy, and when the water is turned off for winter, there is no way to prevent dogs from getting in the puddle and then no way to clean them off. It would be beneficial, I believe, to fill in these holes with dirt of gravel so this would no longer be an issue. Thanks for considering!

Need to report an ongoing problem with an adult non-neutered Rottweiler coming to the park and being aggressive with other dogs. Owners drive black RangeRover, IN plate WE7460. I have seen this dog a few times now and today informed the couple that non-neutered dogs aren't allowed in the park. They disregarded my comments so I called BPD. The responding officer stated that his girlfriend may have had difficulties with the same animal. Hopefully we can let these people know that their one animal can cause difficulties for many others....
