Two doors down from us at 1012 South Grant St. the city did street, curb work that involved the digging the ditch out more and creating a much more severe dip in front of that home. The city put up orange cones along the the very edge, indicating it was temporary and in need of final repair. That was probably a year ago. This ditch has a more severe drop off than any other on our street, or any street near by. It is an accident waiting to happen. Please know that our block no longer is just quiet homeowners. We have three Air BnB's (two beside this house) and student rentals (across street and a few down); their weekend parties once included students taking the orange cones for themselves (owners got them back!) and we often have cars parking along our street late at night during their parties. We are concerned someone will get hurt if any car parks along this dangerous edge - (people move the cones), or a person walking along with their dog or late at night can't see the drop off. Please help our block of neighbors learn what the ultimate plan is for repair and safety. A new student season and Air BnB rentals are about to begin. The curb is no longer sufficient to channel water into the nearby street drain. 2002 Ashwood Lane is located at the bottom of a hill where water from all of the Ashwood development, in The Stands, flows. The curb has been eroded away, and the majority of the water now flows into the driveway before reaching the city street drain. The result is flooding in the driveway and property of 2002 E Ashwood Lane. The curb needs to be repaired or rebuilt to handle the flow of water runoff to appropriately reach the city sewer drain.

Our mailboxes on Bill Mallory Blvd close to SR 446 appear to be over a water line that may have some void space happening. The concrete is settling more than it should! Please let us know how to approach this problem.

This has become a continual issue. With the city no longer picking up leaves, we have several neighbors that rake, blow their leaves into the gutters/curb, large piles even, and when it rains heavy they clog the drains forcing the rain waters to the lowest point and drain in front of my home where it clogs and runs up into my property and halfway up my driveway. One time my wife was up to her shins in water as we have to rake and shovel out the drains on both sides of the road. I have called and had a crew come out to deal with it the time before last night. And last night when I returned home my trash cans were floating in the street. I called around midnight, thought a crew was coming out, but I did not see anyone, so with my bad back I once again took care of it. My recycle cans had been hit by a car, as my neighbors can also appears to been hit. Is there not a way for the city to come out and ask the neighbors to clear the curbs and not blow leaves into the street? One drive out here could easily see where it starts. I have had to bag many leave bags from this, which is at my expense. Please help with this issue.

Sherwood Oaks neighborhood needs a visit from a street sweeper. There are still many leaves, mostly turned to dirt by now, in all of the curbs. These frequently wash into the road during larger rain events (see Westminster).

Someone could easily fall into that hole and get seriously hurt. Lots of children and elderly in this area, including those with special needs. In the evening the huge hole is invisible.

There is a hole at least 2-3 ft deep and 12 inches in diameter along the curb across from the apartments within roughly 5 ft or so to the right of the fire hydrant but before the yellow plastic coated wire (closer to Crescent Donuts location) that is very dangerous. I fell into the hole the other night while out on a trip to the gas station at around 12:45am on September 17, 2025.
