What is wrong with the police or resource officers or who ever is suppose to respond to noise complaints??? If you have had 5 plus callers for the same address and then proceed to tell me someone MAY come out its low on our priority list. So the safety and well being of your community is definitely not number one on your list I see. Why have an ordnance if you aren't going to in force it?!
Today I was driving on Walnut Street headed south around 11:30am. A white City pickup truck was stopped in the road with its hazard lights flashing. The City employee was picking up bags of trash and other junk that some careless person had lost on the road, creating a hazard for traffic and cyclists. This City employee should be thanked or rewarded in some way for going above and beyond. I don't know if he was sent there to get this trash. To me, it looked like he was driving along and saw it and decided to stop and do something about it. He was in a white Ford Super Duty pickup with a lift gate on the back. I think it was truck # 936. This was 11:30am on Saturday, June 4, 2022, on Walnut heading south in the area of about W. Allen Street or so. Please, find this City employee and give him a high five, some extra time off, or whatever you can do to thank him for doing a great job.
Grass clippings! Hazard! The southbound lane of Woodlawn along Bryan Park has grass clippings all over the right 1/3 or 1/4 of it. The park got mowed and a city employee left grass in the road. This is a danger to all the cyclists, motorcyclists, and scooter riders. Can we get that mower operator a leaf blower? This happens routinely around the park and on Sheridan and Southdowns in the multi use paths. Very careless and dangerous for the city to leave debris in the road.
Flags and out door lighting for fraternity events at Phi Kappa Sigma 1000/1002 East Atwater.
Car parked illegally in the public alley next to my fence last night. This happened again (same place, different car) tonight. Picture is of yesterday's car.
The outdoor lighting issues at 1000 and 1002 East Atwater have not been resolved. It appears that new, brighter lights have been installed in response to the request to have the lighting shielded/corrected so it does not shine into the neighbor's yards and homes.
Will the Mayor be sending out a notice as to what is happening with the executive order? It's in effect tonight! Many municipal employees even have not heard still, let alone the public. Thank you!
Morton Street between Kirkwood and 6th really needs some increased signage and monitoring for parking and vehicle behavior. Cars are parking in all manner of places, especially along the Smith-Holden building. Delivery trucks will regularly block the entire street, either stopping traffic altogether or forcing cars to find an illegal or unsafe way around. And I see plenty of vehicles going the wrong direction and exiting onto Kirkwood. Please consider some increased monitoring and enforcement in this area, and some clearly marked parking areas, lanes etc.
requesting feedback: Today is Monday Jan. 15,2018 and I cannot complete some of my personal errands due to weather conditions on the streets and sidewalks.First, my mail has been delayed since Saturday from the incoming snow storm. I noticed the sidewalks were not shoveled and some places were not salted nor were some of the streets were not plowed either. I am just bringing some of the few things to this office's attention because this delays all my daily personal errands like paying bills,etc. I look forward to hearing a positive feedback from this office. It is unfortunate that city employees cannot fulfill snow-plowing jobs when there are plenty of "homeless citizens" looking for work/employment that would have look forward to plowing the streets of Bloomington,Indiana.
